Releasing 8th of March 2023 in paperback only and for a limited time, my 2021 rural release SAY YOU'LL BE MINE will be combined in a 3-in-1 book bind-up alongside authors Jennie Jones and Fiona Marsden. Now available for preorder. In three Australian small towns, the promise of a second chance is just around the corner.
The House on Jindalee Lane by Jennie Jones When a big-time producer threatens to ruin Edie Granger's career the actress flees to her remote hometown and opens a theatre to produce her own play. Childhood friend and ex-commando Ryan Munroe is also back in Swallow's Fall and Edie is torn between her growing attraction to him, her career, and a rekindled love for her hometown. But when elements from the play start happening for real, things turn dangerous. Can Edie pull off the biggest role of her life? And can Ryan ensure everyone survives to make it to the curtain call? A Matter of Trust by Fiona Marsden Forced from his twelve-year-long self-imposed exile, Doctor Morgan Cavanaugh must face his demons and confront the girl he left behind. Only Becca Walters is hiding a secret ... or two. Becca has finally fought her way to respectability, but with Morgan's return she must face the consequences of long-ago decisions, made without his knowledge. Together they'll have to face the past in order to make a future. Say You'll Be Mine by RJ Groves Shannon Hopkins is content with his life - or so he'd thought until his best friend's little sister shows up. The longer Jannette is around, the more whole Shannon feels. The only problem is, she'll be headed back to the city soon, and he'll be the sorry fool left heartbroken in the country. But when it seems that Jannette might have a stalker and Shannon finds himself needing to marry to access an inheritance from his traditionalist grandfather, there's only one possible solution: a marriage of convenience. How could that not be a good idea?

Releasing 1st November 2022, ASH GULLY is a pitch-perfect rural romance set in North-East Victoria, Australia. A teacher. A goat farmer. A rebellious daughter. School teacher Sophie Bamford is ready for a sea change, and the small town of Ash Gully seems the perfect place to be left alone. She needs time to heal and rediscover herself, but she never anticipated what she would find as she did. Certainly not the handsome farmer the town loves so much. Goat farmer William Copely is struggling to make ends meet while trying to be the best dad he can be to his teenage daughter. He doesn’t have time for a relationship, but he just can’t get his daughter’s new school teacher out of his head. There’s an attraction there that neither of them can deny. But when William’s daughter starts acting out and seems determined to hate her teacher, Sophie feels compelled to get to the bottom of it. But will the town’s secrets be revealed a little too late? And is their relationship strong enough to withstand it? The third and final instalment of The Bridal Shop series is finally here! Say You'll Be Mine is Jannette's story, and I'm so excited to share the cover and blurb with you now :) A city girl. A cowboy. A marriage of convenience.
Jannette Tanner is ready for the next step of her life plan - a baby. But when she's called back to her family farm to help her brother, she suddenly finds herself unsure of her plans. Especially when she sees her brother's best friend for the first time after seventeen years and discovers those secret childhood feelings for him have only grown stronger. Shannon Hopkins is happy and content with his life - or so he'd thought. It wasn't until his best friend's little sister showed up that he realises there's been a big hole in his life. And the longer Jannette is around, the smaller that hole feels. Only problem is, she'll be headed back to the city before too long, and he'll be the sorry fool left heartbroken in the country. But when it seems that Jannette might have a stalker and Shannon finds himself needing to marry to access an inheritance from his traditionalist grandfather, there's only one possible solution - a marriage of convenience. How could that not be a good idea? *** Releasing 1st of September 2021 and available at your favourite online bookstores. Order your copy here. Look what just landed in my hot little hands! Isn't this cover gorgeous? The Escape team have done yet another fabulous job, and I can't wait for Be My Valentine (The Bridal Shop #2) to come out on the 4th of Feb 2021! You can preorder Be My Valentine (The Bridal Shop #2) at your preferred retailer. A seamstress. A naval officer. An impossible decision. Harley Smith has always been unlucky in love, and this year is no different. Even if she can't get her best friend's brother out of her head. It's been almost a year, and with Valentine's Day approaching and no date in sight, perhaps it's time to stop holding out hope on her dreams. Maybe she should make her own happily ever after... Joey Gray is a sailor through and through. He's been hurt before, and his job has become the only thing he can truly count on. But then he met his sister's best friend - the woman who has filled his dreams for months on end, regardless of how much he has tried to forget her. Now his career isn't as fulfilling as it once was, and he knows who's responsible. He needs to see her again. And what better day to tell her how he feels than on her birthday-Valentine's Day? But is one week enough time to figure out what they have? How gorgeous is this cover? I think the creative team at Escape Publishing have done an amazing job with this cover. I couldn't imagine another cover that would suit Andie and Tay's story any better. Save the Date is currently available for preorder at your preferred retailer for a 20th October 2020 release! Read the blurb below... One dressmaker. One billionaire. Two broken hearts. How long could it last?
Darlington Vineyard is the perfect wedding venue, and Andie Gray has always made sure she had a date booked, with or without a fiance. Her dreams come true when she lands the perfect man to go with the perfect venue, but then she discovers he's not who she thought he was. All of a sudden love and fairy tales no longer make sense, leaving her questioning everything about her life... Taylor Ballin knows what he wants, and love isn't it. He's been burned before, and it won't happen again. How was he to know that offering to pay for his sister's wedding would bring bridal seamstress Andie Gray, with her maddening allure, into his world and tear down the walls he'd built around his heart? She's the kind of woman he's spent ten years avoiding, and he's everything her ex is. But the pull between them is unavoidable and neither of them can fight it. Perhaps a no-strings-attached kind of deal is exactly what they both need. Or is it the one thing they should avoid? Preorder your copy here. After sitting on it for a little while, I am finally able to announce that Escape Publishing has taken on my next contemporary romance novel that's set in Perth!
This is an exciting new step in my writing career and I'm so excited to be able to share my publishing journey with all of you. I've also recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by the lovely Dana Arpquest. You can read the Q&A here. Keep watching this space! R.J. Well, this website is, for starters!
As you have most likely heard, a lot of the world is currently in isolation/lockdown. And while we're all engulfed in school from home, work from home, excessive baking, putting dents in our TBR piles, PJ days, and turning to our board games and puzzles, the world continues to turn. I am loving spending more time with my family, cherishing those precious moments, and getting involved with the school work. It's as though my life got busier by staying home, but busy is good. Busy helps the time fly and gets things done. So many things have been happening on the writing front, some of which I will share when the time is right. In the meantime, I've just started writing the second book in a new series while working through the edits of the first book and the words are FLOWING. The series is hot, sweet, and exciting. Think sexy heroes with hearts of gold and sassy heroines (firefighters anyone?). And did I mention a dog? So while we're wading through this global pandemic, remember we're all in this together, and if you're looking for something to do, there's a whole world of books out there waiting to take you on adventures and help make your time at home a lot more comfortable. If you've already taken a dive into your TBR piles, tell me what books you've been reading and what books you're looking forward to. I'd love to hear from you! Until next time, R.J. |
